The client

High-ticket and built on trust

Foreign Luxury Watch (FLW) is a Dhaka-based retailer of 100% genuine automatic and luxury watches (Tissot, Seiko, Orient, Calvin Klein, Coach, Tory Burch and more), sold from a Dhaka showroom and online.

Products run from about $91 (BDT 10,000) to about $909 (BDT 1,00,000), so every online sale depends on trust.

How it began

A conversation at a barbershop

There was no pitch deck. A frustrated business owner and a digital marketer got talking while waiting for a haircut. The client had run 4–5 Facebook message campaigns for over 18 months, with video content, products people wanted and a real budget, but never a single online sale.

Diagnosis

What was actually wrong

After auditing the account and website, the picture was clear: not a product or budget problem, but a strategy and infrastructure problem, and an entirely fixable one.

Wrong campaign objective

18+ months of Engagement and Message campaigns. Meta was optimizing for messages, not purchases.

Broken tracking

Only a basic Pixel. No Conversions API, GA4 or GTM, so Meta had no reliable purchase signal.

No audience strategy

No age range, interest layers, custom audiences or lookalikes. Ads went to anyone.

No funnel thinking

Cold audiences sent straight to conversion, for a $200+ product that needs brand familiarity first.

No e-commerce ads

The product catalogue was never connected to Meta. Catalogue Sales ads had never been used.

No testing framework

The same campaigns repeated indefinitely. No A/B tests, scaling logic or data-driven decisions.

Foundation

Infrastructure first, ads second

Before spending a single dollar, the whole tracking foundation was rebuilt. Without clean data, no campaign can be properly optimized.

Before: what was missing
  • Basic Meta Pixel only, firing inconsistently
  • No Conversions API (up to 30% signal loss)
  • No Google Analytics 4
  • No Google Tag Manager
  • No product catalogue connected to Meta
  • No custom or lookalike audiences
  • No verified purchase event tracking
After: full setup
  • Meta Pixel verified, all events firing
  • Conversions API connected (near 100% signal)
  • Google Analytics 4 configured
  • Google Tag Manager installed
  • Product catalogue synced with data rules
  • Custom and lookalike audiences built
  • Purchase events confirmed in Events Manager
The strategy

A full-funnel approach, built in phases

You can’t sell a $200+ luxury watch to a cold audience. The funnel was built deliberately: awareness first, then sales.

Phase 1 · Days 1–7

Awareness and warm-up

A 7-day phase of Traffic, Engagement and Messaging campaigns to warm the audience, build recognition and seed Custom Audiences for retargeting.

Phase 2 · Ongoing

Catalogue Sales launch

With tracking verified and audiences warm, Catalogue Sales launched, the brand's first e-commerce ads. Dynamic product ads served the right watches to the right people.

Phase 3 · Continuous

Testing, scaling and optimization

Winners scaled, losers cut fast. A/B tests across audiences, creatives and bids, with CBO for budget distribution. 722 campaigns in 17 months.

Phase 4 · Ongoing

Brand presence and lead flow

Parallel messaging and engagement campaigns kept the brand visible and built a pipeline of high-intent luxury buyers for online and offline conversion.

The bigger picture

Beyond tracked revenue

Meta Pixel captures online purchases, but for a high-ticket luxury brand that is only the beginning.

A lead pipeline built

Every customer acquired became a verified luxury buyer in the client’s database, the most valuable asset for a high-ticket retailer.

Offline upsell impact

Customers who first bought a $91–$270 watch were later sold additional pieces worth $545–$909+ through relationship-based follow-up.

The $87,414 in tracked revenue is the entry point of these customer relationships, not their total value. The true ROI is higher than any dashboard can show.

Key learnings

What made the difference

Fix the foundation before spending

No campaign can compensate for broken tracking. CAPI, GA4 and proper events were prerequisites.

Objective must match the goal

18 months of message campaigns produced zero purchases. Align the objective with the business goal.

Warm before you sell

Cold audiences don’t buy $200+ watches. A 7-day awareness phase built familiarity first.

Catalogue ads are a superpower

Dynamic catalogue ads matched product to buyer automatically and drove the majority of purchases.

Scale winners, kill losers fast

Continuous A/B testing and reallocation kept efficiency high across 722 campaigns.

Revenue plus conversations

10,796 conversations at $0.75 each fed the offline sales funnel that no pixel can track.

Revenue figures represent Meta Pixel tracked purchase conversion value, the standard reporting methodology for Meta Ads campaigns.
